Numerous awards accepted as a staff member of The News Record from both the Ohio Newspaper Association and Society of Professional Journalists including most recently five first place, one second place and one third place awards at the ONA Collegiate Competition.

The Cincinnati Enquirer - Photojournalist (intern) June - September 2011
As the summer photo intern at The Enquirer I gained valuable experience working in the fast-paced newsroom of a major metropolitan newspaper. I worked full time for 15 weeks covering a wide range of daily photo assignments including breaking and spot news, features, portraits, as well as Major League Baseball, National Football League, ATP Tennis, US Open Beach Volleyball and NASCAR sports assignments. While working as a photographer, I also produced one breaking news written story as well as photos for the Saturday A1 centerpiece.

WCPO-TV - New Media Producer (intern) October - December 2010
Working primarily for the online outlet of the television station, I produced numerous written articles both original and from the wire, as well as covering events around the city as a photographer. I gained experience in a broadcast newsroom workflow as well a new skills in online content management.

The News Record - Managing editor September 2009 - Present
As the Managing editor of the independent student news organization at the University of Cincinnati, I am responsible for co-managing, along with our Editor-in-Chief, a staff of 13 editor and more than 75 contributors, copy editing all stories for print and online publication, overseeing all visual and multimedia content, maintain the organization's social media presence, and improve, expand and promote all newsroom functions while still producing a featured column, written articles, photographs and multimedia projects.
